His journey to Judy’s reflects both a deep respect for well-made food and a belief that some of life’s best moments happen around a shared table. Jeffrey began his career education and transitioned to finance and strategy after getting his MBA at the U of M. Over time, he found himself increasingly drawn to the food world — not just as an industry, but as a daily ritual that connects people. Like many people who have ever made a loaf of sourdough (for Jeffrey, like so many others, this was during the early weeks of COVID), he became fascinated by the alchemy of flour, water, oil, and salt: how humble ingredients, handled with care, can become something far greater than the sum of their parts. That same sense of alchemy exists in human gatherings. A handful of people, good conversation, something simple to share — and suddenly an ordinary evening becomes memorable. When Jeffrey encountered Judy’s, he saw a brand that lived at the center of those two transformations.
