Hot Sculpted Glass. 5.5 x 3 x 3in. Growing up in Florida has made me love the ocean and get to admire some beautiful creatures. I enjoy creating these jellyfish because I feel I ca n capture a realistic creature inside the glass - frozen in time. I love playing with the different color layering techniques to experiment like it is paint in glass form and try to create jellyfish as pretty as the ones from the sea. For some of the jellyfish studies, I like to create an ocean background effect behind on the back of it. I use crushed up clear glass and different powder blues to create a 3-Dimensional feeling when you walk around the work. Show more
