Mounting Acrylic-backed plate Each Jende Diamond Plate is adhered to a 4 mm acrylic layer to give the stone a similar thickness to other sharpening stones. #80 Extra coarse For serious blade profiling, heavy repairs, and the first aggressive sharpening stage. #120 Coarse For profiling, repairs, and initial sharpening when fast material removal is needed. #300 Coarse repair For minor profiling, repairs, initial sharpening, and touching up damaged edges. #600 Working edge For minor repairs, edge touch-ups, and establishing a clean working sharp edge. #1200 Fine prep For edge touch-ups, working-edge finishing, and preparing the bevel for further refinement.
