OverviewIn stock. The JERRY-CE5 is the externally powered version of the JERRY-C5: same thermal core, same optics, same overlay behaviour in front of a PVS-14 style monocular or a BNVD-1431 MK2 / PVS-31 style binocular. The difference is where the power comes from. The CE5 drops the on-board cell and runs entirely off an external battery pack, which takes roughly 30 grams off the front of the helmet and makes run time a question of the pack you carry rather than a cell inside the housing. Choose the CE5 if you already run a helmet battery pack and care about front-end weight and long duration; choose the C5 if you want the imager to work on its own with nothing else plugged in. Everything else matches, down to the image modes and palettes, and it still comes off the mount to work as a standalone thermal monocular whenever it is powered.Key Features1) Same detector, same optics and the same thermal overlay behaviour as the JERRY-C5, without the on-board cell;2) Roughly 30 grams lighter at the front of the helmet than the C5;3) Runs entirely from an external battery pack, so duration is set by the pack you already carry rather than by a cell in the housing;4) Clips in front of PVS-14 style monoculars and BNVD-1431 MK2 / PVS-31 style binoculars on a standard dovetail adapter or bridge mount;5) Comes off the mount and works as a standalone thermal monocular whenever it is powered; What's in the BoxOne JERRY-CE5 clip-on thermal imagerHow to Operate1) Fit the dovetail adapter or bridge that matches your night vision unit;2) Slide the CE5 onto the mount in front of the objective and lock it so it sits square to the unit;3) Connect the external battery pack — the CE5 does not run without it;4) Look through the night vision unit and confirm the thermal overlay lands on the heat source rather than beside it; correct the seating on the mount if it does not;5) Set the image mode and palette to suit the ground you are working;CompatibilityPVS-14 style monoculars, the BNVD-1431 MK2 and PVS-31 style binoculars, mounted with a standard dovetail adapter or bridge.
