Jesse Stone: Stone Cold is a 2005 television movie directed by Robert Harmon and starring Tom Selleck as the eponymous character. The film is based on the Jesse Stone series of novels by Robert B. Parker. In the movie, Jesse Stone, a former Los Angeles homicide detective, has been forced to resign due to his drinking problem. He accepts the position of police chief in the small town of Paradise, Massachusetts, hoping to start a new life and leave his past behind. However, Jesse soon discovers that Paradise is not as idyllic as it seems. The town is plagued by a series of brutal murders, and Jesse must use his experience and intuition to solve the crimes.
