Hiwonder JetTank Jetson Nano ROS Robot Tank JetTank is a tracked ROS learning platform built around a Jetson Nano system, selected lidar and a metal tank chassis. It is designed for hands-on work with robot motion, lidar mapping, navigation, AI vision, simulation and multi-modal interaction. Choose the kit level for the sensors and peripherals your project actually needs. Choose the Right Kit Starter Kit / SLAMTEC A1 Tracked JetTank ROS platform with the SLAMTEC A1 lidar option and the core control accessories shown in the official packing list. It does not include the depth camera, 7-inch display or 6-channel microphone array shown in higher kits. Standard Kit / SLAMTEC A1 or EA1 G4 Adds the 3D depth camera for RGB-D data, point-cloud work, depth-based mapping and AI vision development. Select either A1 or G4 lidar. Advanced Kit / SLAMTEC A1 or EA1 G4 Adds the 7-inch LCD screen, 6-channel far-field microphone array, speaker and USB audio adapter to the Standard Kit sensor configuration. ROS, Mapping & Navigation With the selected lidar, JetTank supports learning workflows for gmapping, Hector, Karto and Cartographer mapping, along with fixed-point navigation, TEB and DWA path planning, obstacle avoidance, lidar tracking and multi-robot navigation examples. These functions require appropriate setup, calibration and a mapped environment; real-world performance depends on the selected lidar, environment and configuration. 3D Vision & AI Interaction The Standard and Advanced kits include the Astra Pro Plus 3D depth camera. It supports RGB-D data and point-cloud workflows, RTAB-VSLAM 3D mapping and navigation, and vision-development examples such as KCF target tracking, AR effects, road-sign detection and MediaPipe-based interaction. The depth camera is not included with the Starter Kit. Advanced Kit Voice Hardware The Advanced Kit adds the 6-channel far-field microphone array, speaker and audio adapter. These hardware additions support voice-interaction experiments including sound-source localization, text-to-speech, voice commands and voice-guided navigation. They are not included with Starter or Standard kits. Two Lidar Choices Select the lidar option available for your chosen kit. The official comparison lists SLAMTEC A1 with a 0.15-12m ranging radius and EAI G4 with a 0.12-16m ranging radius. EAI G4 is also listed with 0.2-0.48 degree angle resolution, compared with A1 at no more than 1 degree. Treat sensor ranges and accuracy as operating-condition dependent specifications, not guaranteed application performance. Tracked Robot Hardware JetTank uses an anodized full-metal alloy bracket, reinforced nylon continuous tracks, two 520 Hall-encoder geared motors, a lidar pan-tilt driven by an HTS-20H serial bus servo, and an 11.1V 6000mAh lithium battery. The system is documented with a Jetson Nano ROS controller and expansion board; hardware visualisation also shows the optional depth camera, display and microphone components used by higher kit levels.
