Each earring is meticulously woven into an intricate lace-like silhouette, then finished with a luminous 22-carat gold coating that catches the light with every turn of your head. At the center rests a hand-painted sacred heart — a devotional motif rendered with careful brushwork before the piece is complete. Nestled within it, a Tlacoyal pom-pom of hand-spun wool, dyed using traditional colorants passed down through generations. The Tlacoyal is a symbol of Oaxacan identity.
