Jig-HD is a hybrid mechanical jig for high-energy pouch-type Lithium battery research. It can keep a constant gap when the cell expands, and constant pressure when the cell shrinks during charge and discharge cycling.This product is based on PNNL's recently published work. For operation and questions, please refer to the article below"Controlled large-area lithium deposition to reduce swelling of high-energy lithium metal pouch cells in liquid electrolytes" SPECIFICATIONS Structure and Dimension Pic. 1Pic. 2 The mechanical jig is made of SS 304 Please click the left to see the dimensions ( Pic.1) Max. pouch cell size 90 mm x 70 mm 4 steel springs to provide 50 loads 50 kg Max precision digital load cell is located on the bottom of the jig as shown in the picture left (Pic. 2) A digital pressure display is included to show pressure change. An addtional PC software is available upon request for tracking and recording real-time pressure data (+ $298). Customized spring load and load cells are available upon request. Working Principle As shown in picture left sand the reference article Put a pouch cell between two plates During charging, the top plate will limit the pouch cell expending by a screw, and keep the constant gap. During discharge, the pouch cell may shrink, and the top spring will move the plate down and apply a constant pressure The bottom loaded cell will display the pressure change PC operation for Multi-Jig( optional) One 8-channel battery analyzer with software is available upon request The battery analyzer will operated by a laptop computer and record the changes in pressure and temperature during charging and discharging via a pre-setting program with up to 8 jigs at the same time Compliance NRTL certification is available upon request
