JobOx A1 is an automation add-on designed for BambuLab A1 printer, which gives it a capability of serial print. After the print is finished the plate becomes automatically unloaded and replaced by the new one from the magazine, located behind the printer. In this way you can print multiple print jobs automatically one after another or reprint the same job multiple times. All this happens automatically. The system is compatible with AMS and you can still use your favorite slicer. How many plates can the magazine hold? It is recommended to use up to 8 plates in the magazine. You can use more, but in this case we would recommend to keep an eye on the stack because misalignment can occur when the high plate stack bounces during the loading procedure. However, it's usually not necessary to have a large number of plates to operate a plate-changing system, even when printing large series. Do I need extra software? To operate with JobOx A1, you will continue to use your usual slicer (BambuStudio and OrcaSlicer) with the difference that you will need to perform a short conversion of the sliced file using our web app before sending it to your printer. During conversion you can change the order in which plates are printed, the number of repeats and combine multiple files into a single queue. This app runs as a website in any browser such as Firefox, Chrome or Safari. There is no installation or subscription required. The conversion happens locally, so none of your data is leaving your computer. The application only acts as a converter, so it doesn’t need to run during printing. To access the app in order to convert your files you will need an internet connection. Once the file is converted you can start the queue and no internet connection is needed. How can I get technical support? We would like to emphasize that we do not provide personal technical support. However you will have a possibility to join our Discord server and ask the community. This automation add-on has been tested on thousands of plate changes on multiple machines to find and rework all possible sources of error. The current version works optimally but is not 100% perfect. There is still a certain risk of failure during loading and unloading, or due to side effects related to the use of the system. Mostly, this ends in the printer stopping due to an automated collision detection, and doesn’t cause any damage. However, it could theoretically result in damage to certain parts of your printer (most likely repairable) or your build plates (which is consumable and can be replaced). You should always be aware of this fact. Especially at the beginning you should keep an eye on your printer while using this add-on. While using this automation add-on a plate detection of your printer will possibly not work reliably! Please make sure to load enough plates into the magazine or refill it during its operation.
