The hat is knit in the round with basic ribbing and stockinette stitch, and the scarf is knit flat in garter stitch with short row shaping. These patterns were designed by Jody Long, especially for his Glam Haze yarn line. Glam Haze is a wonderfully light and lofty bulky weight yarn with a sparkly metallic core and a wonderful alpaca-mohair halo. These patterns are recommended for advanced beginner to intermediate knitters due to knitting in the round and short rows being required to complete the set.
