We have it in 50g skeins, handily sized so that three skeins will yield two pairs of socks in most sizes. The colours have a depth that comes directly from how the yarn is made. The fibres are first blended into their natural undyed shades — Mizzle and Drizzle — then spun and sent to the dye house to be overdyed in the final colours. Dyeing on that grey base gives each shade extra richness, and a quiet heathered quality that catches the light beautifully. 60% Exmoor Blueface SW — our most local sheep, a cross of the Exmoor Horn and Bluefaced Leicester, producing a soft, springy fibre. 20% Falklands Corriedale SW — smooth with a hint of lustre and plenty of bounce, from a Merino × Lincoln Longwool cross. 10% Zwartbles — now farmed widely across Exmoor, this naturally dark fibre adds volume, bounce, and depth of tone to the blend. 10% Nylon — adds the strength and wear-resistance essential in a sock yarn, greatly extending the life of your finished socks. The colour names are drawn from Exmoor dialect — the quiet, local vernacular of the moor that's been spoken by farmers and country folk for generations. Bibble Bug (woodlouse), Peggles (berries), Fairy Thimble (foxglove) — each name rooting the yarn a little deeper into the landscape it comes from.
