John Dory Sequoia carved by Kaikoura artist Nathan Burtenshaw NZ Sequoia, limpet and black mother of pearl eye. Finish – iron oxide ebonised natural wood oil and beeswax. 67.5cm x 72cm Nathan Burtenshaw was bought up in Picton and the Marlborough Sounds and has been living for the past 20 years in Kaikoura.
