Rendered in porcelain and finished by hand, the large Amphora Vase carries the quiet authority of an object that has always belonged in a serious room. Its glazed surface holds lig ht with the particular depth that only hand finishing achieves, shifting subtly as the eye moves around its classical silhouette. At twenty inches, it commands a console or library shelf without demanding attention — a distinction that separates great decorative objects from merely decorative ones. Show more
