A canvas composition of quiet authority, Early Spring II captures that suspended moment between seasons when the world holds its breath before bloom. The work reads as both intimat e and expansive, its dimensions — thirty-two inches in height, twenty-four in width — lending it the presence of a considered focal point without demanding the scale of a statement wall. John Richard's editorial sensibility is evident in the restraint of the piece, which asks to be lived with slowly, revealing itself differently as light moves across the day. Show more
