Carduus is a 2019 release from niche perfume house Jorum Studio and house perfumer Euan McCall as a part of the Progressive Botany collection, which "studies and augments natural phenomena." Jorum Studio aims to create "modern, poetic fragrances that capture the beauty of nature with an unconventional spirit" and " conceptual and immersive fragrances that focus on storytelling through scent." Caardus has a scent profile of herbal, aromatic, fresh spicy, floral, honey, sweet, woody, tobacco, green, and warm spicy accords. The resulting effect conjures images of untold ceremony and ritual. The fragrance flirts with tradition; aged herbs and spices blended alchemically.
