14K heirloom pendant adorned by a 3.5 carat lab ruby. Weighing a hefty 21 grams with height of 34.2mm or 46mm including bail. A 33mm with at the widest part of the heart. This piece is inspired by a vintage locket (though Josie is not a locket) that I sourced from an Instagram jewelry collector. It spoke to all the design elements that make my heart swoon- a heart shape and maximalist size. I had to have her the instant I laid eyes on her. She's named Josie, after my mom who inspired my love of fine jewelry and has influenced my love of design, art, and beauty . My mother has collected fine jewelry for as long as I can remember- we share a love of gold, gemstones, vintage jewelry, and all things sparkly. I'm drawn to heavy hitters and there is something about the scale of this heart that is perfection. The Josie heart pendant is designed and hand crafted in Los Angeles.
