Journey is the second series created for Art School by Alice Irwin. Consisting of 9 unique screenprints, the series takes you on a journey, unraveling the layers of colours and sha pes, to discover the meaning of each character. Unlike her last series, Sweet Times, which focuses on the good times in life, the works in this series take you on a journey through life itself. Built up in layers of colour and abstracted forms, each print in looks at how far we travel and the complications and responsibilities that we take on as we get older. Although full of Alice’s signature bright hues, she has begun experimenting with new colours such as greens and purples, which layered upon each other makes these works much darker in tone. Show more
