Higher temperatures can affe ct the sex of the sea turtle causing the eggs to hatch as females. This slow extinction is coupled with smaller and smaller beaches for turtles to nest and feed on. If salt water reaches the egg, it can corrode and damage the shells significantly hurting the survival rate of the turtles.
