JR-40A – Highlander – Battle of Culloden By the morning of 16 April 1746, the Jacobite campaign had reached its decisive moment. JR-40A – Highlander represents one of the men who s tood on Culloden Moor facing Cumberland's government army. The Jacobite position was difficult. The troops were fatigued, supplies were poor, and an unsuccessful attempt at a night march against the government camp at Nairn had added further exhaustion. When the attack finally came, it did not advance evenly across the battlefield. Difficult ground and the effects of artillery contributed to disorder, while different Jacobite formations encountered very different levels of success in reaching the government line. JR-40A can be placed among the leading Highlanders or used slightly farther back to build the depth of the clan formations.
