In 2019, JR went to Tehachapi, a Californian prison, where he collected prisoners testimonies, as well as some of the prison staff. Alongside JR's team, they glued the 338 strips o f paper that compose the final installation, which could only be pictured by a drone. The book opens the gates of this high security institution, bringing together the installations, the prisoners testimonies, their portraits, as well as some reproductions of prisoners' letters.
