JS350a and JS350b come from some plants grown by ED in Sacramento. He usually had a 20’ minimum purchase. Under certain conditions they are nearly indistinguishable, but as they reach mature growth there are very clear differences. JS350a tends to have more pups, thinner columns, more spines, but shorter spines overall. Very similar to and maybe the same as the LER/Torres/Texas Torch/Malo’s Ayacucho type plants. JS350b tends to have fewer pups, thicker columns, fewer spines with long centrals. Very similar to and maybe the same as the Wildflowers of Heaven (WOH) pach. Our JS350a plants are grown outdoors in Chico, California planted directly in the ground. They are grown without chemical inputs, grafting, or forced reproduction. The cactuses have reached a mature size and are propagated carefully to ensure they continue to flower each year.
