Awarded a Bowring Scholarship to study at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, Bannister went on to perform with the D’Oyly Carte Opera Company, work extensively with the London Symphony Orchestra and BBC Symphony Orchestra, and appear in West End productions including Les Misérables. Alongside his orchestral work he has recorded thousands of film, television and commercial soundtracks and has performed internationally throughout his career. Now based in Deal, Kent, he remains an active and much respected figure in the local music community.
