***JUMBO June Plum is currently available for Pre-Order. When placing a Pre-Order, this means the fruit you have ordered is not currently in season, or is extremely limited in season. Your pre-order holds your place in line on our wait list. When JUMBO June Plum comes into season and is ready to harvest from the trees, you will receive your order as soon as possible.*** Origin: June Plum originated in Melanesia, a chain of islands in the tropical Western Pacific Ocean east of the Philippines. Flavor Profile: These pack a lot of flavor! The experience of biting into one can be spicy, sour, and savory. The flavor is best described as a pineapple/mango/soursop combined. The texture is crunchy and juicy, similar to unripe mango or apple. How To Eat: June Plum will turn light yellow. Do not refrigerate before it is ripe, unless you prefer eating them unripe. Can be eaten unripe, but is best when slightly yellow and eaten like an apple. You can peel off the skin and eat the crunchy inside until you hit the core. It is nice on its own, or eaten with a dash of cayenne and lime juice. First come first serve, any orders that can't be shipped this season will be reserved for next season. The total weight of each box varies depending on the size, shape, and mass of the fruit: One Fruit contains 1 piece of fruit (sizing varies) Small Box contains up to 3-5 pounds Large Box contains up to 8-10 pounds Extra Large Box contains up to 16-20 pounds Bulk Box contains up to 34-40 pounds We ALWAYS recommend ordering a LARGE BOX for the best value, when compared to a Small Box. Because shipping, handling, and delivery are so expensive per package, the Large Box will contain more fruit and ultimately a better value.
