Composition : Blue Steel. The Blue Steel alloy used in this Jump’In range is made of 54% carbon and 46% manganese. Effect : A D-ring bit helps creating a frame and keeps the horse focused. It is a good alternative to a full cheek bit. The French-mouth cannons make this bit more comfortable by relieving the horse from any pressure on their palate. Blue steel bit oxidizes with air and humidity creating a thin layer of rust which has a sweet taste. It will stimulate the production of saliva and naturally allow the horse to relax. The horse will be more comfortable and will take the bit more. The bit color will turn into a greyish brown due to this oxidation process.
