Anatolian "Kilim" is pileless, hand-woven, flatwave traditional rug. Kilim weaving art is an outstanding handcraft with its traditional taste and motifs which transfer the cultural legacy of the ancient era to the present day. Centuries old techniques and patterns are still preserved respecting the heritage but also evolved in time to meet modern age trends. "Kilim" motifs are derived from symbols that were used in ages gone by to inform, communicate and to convey ideas. Over time, some of signs merged with myths, acquired hidden significance & moved into the world of esoteric symbolism. The patterns express the desires & the aspirations of the weaver and in a way to mean destiny. They were somehow considered as charms against the evil eye... Red Pomegranate brings you an exclusive selection of "Kilim Bags" designed in fashion colors. Kilim patterns are replicated and reanimated on the outdoor resistant custom woven tapestry fabrics and hand sewn using ultra soft vegan leather to create fashion bags. The black satin-lined interior compartment with drawstring and magnet closure features a zip compartment on the inside back wall for keeping your necessities organized together with the outside pouch in front. With 2 adjustable shoulder straps, you can carry this backpack as you feel the most comfortable. Show more
