Brodie Juniper is actually a subspecies of Eastern Red Cedar. Brodie is known for its bush, conical growth habit. It has beautiful, dark green needles and will produce blue (inedib le) berries in late autumn. Brodie is a drama-free, low-maintenance plant. Once Brodie is established, it's disease resistant, drought tolerant and adaptable to changing weather. Brodie works well as a stand-alone specimen plant, or it also works excellent as privacy screening and even looks good framing driveways and entry ways. Brodie grows at a rate of about 1-2' per year and reaches a mature height of about 25' tall. This juniper prefers full sun, but will tolerate part shade.
