Solid carbon is what makes the Evolution what it is. It holds the full parabolic load and quick recovery a slow pitch blank needs to move a jig properly, while adding the strength and resistance to overload that lets you fish high-end performance without the usual breakage risk. And because a solid blank loads continually, it takes oversized jigs in stride.
