Our three handled wedge is specifically designed for bite development. This classical style three handled bite wedge has enclosed handles on the inside of the wedge and is made with padding on both sides of the interior of the wedge, allowing flexibility for when the dog strikes it and making it great for young dogs and dogs learning targeting in their bite work. By using this wedge in your training system it allows the handler or helper to maneuverer the dog to hold and carry while maintaining the dogs grip. The placement of the handles allows them to position the wedge correctly whilst protecting their hands. This is designed to help teach a targeted, full, deep bite so your dog can learn to maintain a calm grip during strikes. We would describe this as a medium firmness training tool.Many dogs develop mouthy grips due to being subjected to a very hard training sleeve or wedge during development.
