The design of these collars when us ed correctly, can be highly effective at establishing communication with your dog through mild pressure. The pressure points allow less physical pressure requirements. We recommend that all training aids be used by professionals or dog owners / handlers / trainers that have been educated on correct use. Prong collars should NOT be used with a retractable (flexi) lead. Prong Collars should also not be left on when not being used. These are a training tool and not to be left on when not being used. Collar Options & How to find the right one for your dog. Our Prong Collars come in a brushed (not shiny) Stainless Steel only. When choosing the right prong collar for your dog, we look at three factors (a large prong collar does not just go to a large breed dog for example) First: The breed of dog Second: The weight of your dog These first two factors determine the collar size (small medium or large prong collars) Thirdly: The neck circumference This is to determine if you need to add or remove links. When measuring you want the collar to be sitting high up on the neck and not loose so it does not slide up and down when using.
