Kaffir Lime, also known as the Makrut lime, is a staple in Southeast Asian cooking. Known for its intense flavor and aroma, the leaves (not the fruit) are used in various dishes. Y oung leaves have a tangier taste, while older leaves can be dried or ground as a spice. GEORGIA ONLY: Due to a citrus disease detected years ago in Georgia (not in our grove), the state is quarantined and leaves and twigs which could transmit the disease cannot be shipped outside the state.
