A striking flowering plant native to New Zealand, characterised by its vibrant reddish-pink flowers that resemble the beak of the kaka bird. This unique plant species is part of the legume family and is lauded for its ornamental value in gardens and landscapes. The kaka beak blooms in clusters of tubular flowers, attracting pollinators like birds with its nectar. Unfortunately, due to habitat loss and predation, the kaka beak is considered a threatened species in the wild. Really susceptible to slugs and snails, so manage appropriately. Germination Capacity: Seed has been sustainably foraged and has not undergone commercial seed cleaning or grading. Natives can be erratic germinators and naturally low in germination capacity.
