Pearlescent solution The pearlescent solution is designed for dip pen use only. Avoid use with fountain pens and rollerball pens, as it will cause clogging. Shake the bottle well before use to distribute the pearlescent particles that may have settled at the bottom. This ink additive gives your ink a delicate shimmer, perfect for accentuating your everyday colours. It’s equally striking on black paper as it is on white paper. The shimmer appearance varies depending on the amount of pearlescent solution and the ink colours used, so feel free to experiment with the ratio to find what works best. It can also be combined with the diluting solution to create a soft, pale pearlescent ink.
