An iconic cold bathhouse Ribersborgs Kallbadhus, or Kallis as it's called in the common tongue, was built in 1898 on the initiative of the cane manufacturer C. A. Richter and was o pened on June 1 of the same year under the name Malmö Saltsjöbad AB. In 1902, the "Christmas storm" swept over western Sweden and destroyed the bath.
