It is designed by speaker engineer Dr. Rishi S. Gurbani and sold as a single driver. A 6x9 gives you far more cone area than a round 6.5 in the same factory hole, and that area is what you feel as midbass. The Aspect 6.9 turns that into tight, punchy, controlled output that makes a stock system sound like a different car. Built to Perform The Aspect 6.9 is built to move air and take power, with the same material choices that define the Karma sound. Woven Kevlar Cone A stiff, light Kevlar cone with an aluminum-magnesium dustcap stays controlled at high excursion, keeping the midbass tight instead of muddy. Titanium Former, High-Strength Motor A titanium voice coil former and a high-strength motor handle heat and power, and the motor is designed for a shallower mounting depth without losing output. Cast Aluminum Basket A cast aluminum basket holds alignment under power and resists the flex that robs a stamped basket of clean output over time. Integrated Butyl Surround A one-piece butyl surround and gasket seals to the baffle and survives years of heat cycling in a door far better than foam. Power and Crossover The Aspect 6.9 is a free-air design, so it works in a door or rear deck with no enclosure. Give it power and a high-pass and it delivers. The factory sheet lists 80 watts nominal and 180 watts peak. Those are raw bench numbers measured full-range with no crossover. Behind the recommended 65 Hz 24 dB-per-octave high-pass, the usable rating is 125 watts RMS. With 6mm of one-way excursion on tap, this driver hits hard when you give it clean power and protect it with a high-pass. High-pass the Aspect 6.9 at 65 Hz and run a subwoofer below it. The driver plays cleaner and louder when it is not asked to make deep bass, and the system as a whole gets fuller and more effortless. Fitment and Integration The Aspect 6.9 is a direct-fit upgrade for standard 6x9 openings. It is a free-air driver, so it does not need a sealed box, but it does need a solid, deadened baffle to sound its best. Overall: 245.5mm x 175.5mm. Cutout: approximately 174mm x 126mm. Mounting depth: 85mm. Confirm the cutout, bolt pattern, and depth against your vehicle using the mounting drawing before install. Rear Fill Run a pair in the rear deck for fill, high-passed and level-matched so they support the stage without pulling it back. 2-Way With a Tweeter Pair it with the Karma Mobile Audio Allure 1 Tweeter or Aspect tweeter for a full 2-way front stage. 3-Way Build Add the Karma Mobile Audio Aspect 3 midrange and a tweeter for a true 3-way with deep, effortless midbass.
