However, you can purchase either a galvanized steel pole or a stainless steel pole from any hardware store. The inside diameter of the pipe should be 1", the outside diameter should be 1 5/16" and it should be a Schedule 40 metal pipe that does not exceed 10 feet in length. The Dock Mounted version should be under the water surface 3', with at least 6-12" of clearance from the bottom. The horizontal float mounted AquatiClear hangs 2 feet under the water. The float actually acts as a block for the vortex that would otherwise be created by the dock mounted version. Allow 6-12" of clearance from bottom with either model.
