The Katabatic combines PrimaLoft® Gold Active with a breathable and wind-resistant fabric to keep you warm and comfortable for everything from hillwalking in the Lake District to c limbing Alpine icefalls. PrimaLoft® is the ideal insulation for damp or changeable conditions. Its fibres don't absorb water and are treated with a special water repellent, keeping their insulating ability even when wet. Breathable Warmth on the Move We've combined this insulation with a breathable and wind-resistant outer fabric. This means you can wear the Katabatic as either an outer layer (like a fleece and softshell combo) or as a super warm midlayer under your waterproof. The air permeable outer fabric lets out excess heat and sweat out to keep you comfortable even when you're working hard – no boil-in-a-bag feeling here. Designed for Activity The Katabatic is so versatile, that we couldn’t possibly mention all the activities it’s been used for without writing a novel – it's even been used for arctic fat biking!
