Product Description The Keeley Katana Mini Clean Boost brings one of Keeley’s longest-running designs into a compact, pedalboard-friendly format, delivering more than 35dB of boost with the character of its cascading Class A JFET stages. Originating from the boost circuit found in Keeley’s 2002 Time Machine Boost, the Katana became known for providing a clean, natural-sounding lift that could remain on as an integral part of a player’s core tone. The Mini version retains that approach while adding greater tonal flexibility through two internal micro switches. Four different configurations are available. The Hi-Gain switch introduces an overdriven character, while the new Hi-Cut switch softens the high end for a warmer response that can work particularly well with bright single-coil guitars. Engaging both produces a thicker, creamier boost with increased drive and plenty of available output. With its cascading FET design, substantial boost range and compact footprint, the Katana Mini can be used for everything from a clean always-on tone enhancer to pushing an amplifier harder for saturated lead sounds.
