It can also help with varicose veins, ulcers, hernias, mastitis, eczema and psoriasis due to its anti-inflammatory and vulnerary nature. Plantain (Plantago lanceolate): has anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, astringent, demulcent, vulnerary properties. This means that it can be used externally for varicose veins, skin inflammation, slow healing wounds, relieve swellings, reduce inflammation and itching.
