The Meiji era was the first half of the Empire of Japan, when the Japanese people moved from being an isolated feudal society at risk of colonization by Western powers to the new paradigm of a modern, industrialized nation state and emergent great power, influenced by Western scientific, technological, philosophical, political, legal, and aesthetic ideas. THE MEIJI PERIOD COLLECTION: ISSUE 1 - Kawanabe Kyosai's Paintings Studying old masters is a long-used method for learning and building your artistic skills and they're a great source of inspiration. In that manner, I decided it might be helpful to take famous paintings and focus on their use of color and see how masters put together cohesive and expressive palettes so you can implement similar strategies into your brand's color palette. Just as these masters used color to add depth to their visual stories, so can you in choosing your brand colors. INCLUDED: 420 Procreate Color Swatches 14 Procreate Brushes (.brush & .brushset) 6 Ukiyo-e Textures (.PNG files) inspired by the original textures Kyosai used.
