This open edition sculpture / collectible vinyl toy by KAWS (Brian Donnelly) titled 'BFF' was released in 2017 and comes in Black, Blue, and Pink editions. Over a year after the BFF character was revealed at the Central Embassy in Bangkok, Thailand, rumors started to swirl that KAWS would be releasing a 13-inch vinyl edition of the much loved character. Sure enough, this BFF Vinyl Open Edition released in October, 2017. This character features and all-blue body with a contrasting yellow nose and white eyes. One of the larger vinyl editions that KAWS has released, this BFF makes a great display piece for any living space. Size: 33cm Brian Donnelly, known professionally as KAWS is a multi-faceted artist straddling the worlds of art and design in his prolific body of work that ranges from paintings, murals, and large-scale sculptures to product design and toy-making. His iconic “XX” signature has its roots in the beginning of his career as a street artist in the 1990s, when he began altering found advertisements by incorporating his own masterful paintings. Evoking the sensibilities of Pop artists like Andy Warhol and Claes Oldenburg, KAWS possesses a sophisticated humor and thoughtful interplay with consumer products and collaborations with global brands.
