If you want to run a 285 7017 tire in the spare OEM location Why You Need It When you add extended-travel shocks to the rear of a KDSS-equipped rig, the track bar can hit the sway-bar links and stop droop early. These drop spacers move the sway-bar’s axis down just enough to clear everything, so your shocks can use all their travel. If you’re not sure, do this quick check: Chock your front wheels. Jack up the rear by the hitch until the tires are off the ground. Crawl underneath and inspect the track bar and sway-bar links. If you see or feel them touching, your suspension is binding — you need these spacers. If there’s no contact, you’re good without them. Install Notes Bolt-on install using supplied hardware.
