As this is the equivalent of a 50cc, If you passed your car driving test before 1 February 2001 there is no need to take a CBT course and you do not have to display L plates. If you passed your car driving test on or after 1 February 2001 you'll need to complete a compulsory basic training (CBT) course. You can then ride a moped (up to 50cc) without L plates and do not need to retake your CBT every 2 years and you can ride mopeds for as long as your car driving licence lasts.
