Kieffer pear is a hardy tree that grows fast, lives long, is disease-resistant, and yields a large crop. It also tolerates a wide range of climates, thriving in northern states as well as hotter southern states. Kieffer pear is the most widely planted pears in the South. Produces large, long, golden yellow fruit with a crimson blush and flesh that is crisp, white, and coarse in texture — good for canning, baking, preserves, and pear honey. Kieffer's are best grown in zones 4-9 and are partially self fertile. Best pollinators are Bartlett or Pineapple pear trees. Mature height 18-20' & width of 10-15'. Our pear trees are 3 year trees that our sold in 5 gallon lines and are approximately 6' tall and have a trunk of approximately 2".
