Kendo Referee Kit - KuSakura Traditionally, Kendo matches are refereed by 3 judges, one appointed to be the lead referee and the two secondary assessing referees here to give a broader insight of the match details and to support or contest decisions. Referees are standing on each side of the competitors so as to form a triangle on the Shiaijo (fighting field). As such, there are always at least two referees capable of seeing the details of the combat. This positioning was designed in order to limit the risk of a potential mistake due to a missed action by the referees. This Kendo referee kit is a must-have for all referees and fully respects the dimensions and standards set by the All Japan Kendo Federation. This kit features 3 sets of white and red flags used by referees to communicate and show the decisions taken during the match, 2 red triangular flags and 1 yellow triangular flag used to indicate the timer status.
