These silver and gold earrings are handmade all the way down to the lengthy ear wires. Although large and bold, they are still leightweight and comfortable. I hand cut and textured
the discs from fine silver metal clay, then kiln fired them after refining. After tumbling clean, I cut, filed, and shaped the ear wires. After cleaning up the metal and work hardening it, it was time to apply 24k gold using an ancient Korean gilding technique called Keum-Boo. I finished them by adding a heavy patina to make the gold pop. These unique earrings measure approximately 1.70" from the top of the ear wire to the bottom of the wire. The circles measure roughly 1.05" across.
