1/4" x 1/4" x 1 7/8" long Brass key-way. This is the prefered key for tapered shaft ends, and rudder posts. The key cuts and files easy for custom lengths. I am a firm believer in Brass vs Stainless after seeing a brass key shear in a prop after hitting a log saving the prop and drive shaft!Always check to see that your key slides freely inside the prop key slot and the shaft key slot (or rudder) if not use a flat hand file, lay the file on a flat table and carefully slide the key over the file on each side until the key passes in/out of the prop/shaft slot without "sticking". There is a "fine line" between a smooth fit and a sloppy fit which is why I do not use a grinder. Show more
