This versatile piece can be used as a side table, end table, or even a small bench. It is constructed of black-lacquered maple-veneered plywood with an intricate crosshatched maple veneered design on the table's surface. This surface design is achieved by individually applying 3/8" wide maple veneer strips utilizing a unique technique developed by the artist. The top surface is finished with a water white conversion varnish which will not yellow and has excellent resistance to water and corrosive chemicals.
