A foundling created right here at our very own orchard, in Gays Mills, WI by Bill and Marlene Meyer. A perfectly red, sweet, with a hint of cinnamon apple that takes advantage of the Driftless Region's beautiful topography and climate to create a superbly delicious apple. THIS apple is the secret ingredient to our 1913 Original Caramel Apple Pizza™ and pies. The apple is small and conical shaped. Its skin is bright red with pronounced lenticels along its vertical ridges. The red skin bleeds slightly into the flesh which generally is yellow in color. The flesh is fine grained and very crunchy and very tart. This is an excellent early baking apple and stores well for its harvest date.
