Kid mohair comes only from the first shearing of the young goat and is the softest mohair imaginable. It can be knit as a single strand to yield a fabric that is airy and light weight or plied with another fine yarn for a cloth with perfect drape and sumptuous texture. Excellent for knitting, crochet, or makes a lovely weft. Custom dye colours are readily available. Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight and handwash with cool water with a touch of mild detergent or shampoo. Rinse, press out excess water and lay flat to dry.
