Kielo is the Finnish word for lily of the valley, a wildflower whose quiet, drooping form inspired Emanuele Pizzolorusso's design for Ichendorf Milano. The vase is handblown glass, and the process is visible in every curve: a gravity-weighted base that pools like water arrested mid-fall, and a narrow neck that rises into openings shaped for single stems or loose, unstructured arrangements. Ichendorf Milano has long worked at the intersection of craft tradition and contemporary form, producing glass objects in small Italian workshops where material and maker remain in close dialogue. The Kielo Vase reflects that sensibility. Its proportions shift depending on the light and angle, appearing dense and sculptural from one side, almost weightless from another.
